Meet Joyce Diaz

Joyce Diaz is the proud Founder & CEO of Diaz Resume Company, based out of Virginia Beach, Virginia. Prior to launching her new resume writing and recruiting company, she was employed as a law firm administrator in Virginia Beach where she was responsible for overseeing the hiring and on-boarding process of all new staff members.  There, she spent over five years reviewing resumes, conducting interviews and being the first point of contact for all job applicants. 

Between the years of 1999 and 2013, Joyce was a highly sought-after recruiter working closely with professional candidates in the Hampton Roads area in Virginia and neighboring states. Holding former titles as Director of Candidate Development, Legal Recruiter, Placement Director, Corporate Recruiter and Staffing Manager, Joyce brings you over 20 years combined experience as a professional resume writer AND seasoned recruiter.  Her mastery of writing, updating, fine-tuning and completely overhauling resumes and cover letters is unparalleled.  Equally invaluable is her insight as a career coach and hiring manager within leadership teams, stemming from her many years of leading recruiting teams to maximum potential.

Joyce is a member of the National Resume Writer's Association.  She earned her designation as a Certified Staffing Professional in 2010 from the American Staffing Association, along with her Certified Internet Recruiter credentials.  Joyce is a long-standing member of the Society of Human Resource Management and a former member of the Association of Legal Administrators, Tidewater Paralegal Association, and the Virginia Beach Legal Staff Association.  Joyce sits on the Executive Board of Connected Business Networking and Chairs the Communications Committee.

Born to Colombian parents, Joyce is fluent in Spanish and enjoys spending time with her husband of 25 years and their two children.  She enjoys cooking, Latin dancing, and painting with acrylics on canvas. She's said to be the hostess with the mostest and loves entertaining friends in her Virginia Beach home.  When she takes off her resume writing and recruiting hat, Joyce can also be found volunteering regularly in her local community.
